Concerned Citizens for the Educational Promotion of Cued Speech, Inc. is founded. (From 1978–1982, this group was called the Cued Speech Association before becoming the NCSA.) Articles of incorporation are filed in Maryland in March. Charles Swadley is President for the first two years.
