1975-1984 - Dr. Cornett becomes Director of Gallaudet Office of Cued Speech Programs

Dr. Cornett remained at Gallaudet as a research professor and Director of the Office of Cued Speech Programs. During this time, he adapted Cued Speech to 52 languages and major dialects. He wrote and published audiocassette lessons in 34 of these languages and dialects.
