Administrative Manager


Overview 

The NCSA is looking for a part-time Administrative Manager who will be responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the NCSA, support and carry out the NCSA’s strategic direction set by the board of directors, and manage the membership and donor database. This role typically requires between 5-10 hours per week.

The Administrative Manager will report to the President and work closely with the DCLP Coordinator.

Background

The National Cued Speech Association is a non-profit organization that supports deaf children and families that use cued languages. The NCSA operates several programs, including our main program, the Deaf Children’s Literacy Project (DCLP). DCLP is a guided program to support families with children who are deaf, hard of hearing, and/or have various processing disorders and who may benefit from Cued Speech to achieve age-appropriate language and literacy acquisition.

Project Goals

We envision the Administrative Manager will be the point person for the daily operations that allow the NCSA to continue helping families and cuers across the nation. 

Requirements and Scope

  • Responsibilities:
    • Membership and Outreach
      • Plan Membership Drive
      • Attract new members and retain existing members yearly  
      • Webinar and Event Logistics
      • Work with the DCLP Coordinator to track Kit inquiries
      • Coordinate with Affiliates like Cue College
    • Bill Disbursement
    • Fundraising
      • Combined Federal Campaign planning
      • Assist with Donor Outreach
    • Official paperwork
      • State Registrations
      • 990 and Tax coordination
      • Insurance
    • Assist with contract development and project coordination with vendors, e.g.
      • Website Updates
      • Salesforce Updates
    • Track hours worked and assign hours to project codes 
  • Qualifications:
    • Experience with project management
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Salesforce experience
    • Google Workspace experience (e.g., Google Docs, Google Sheets)
    • WordPress experience
    • Willingness to use Slack and email for communications

Time Period: 1 year; renewable

The initial contract will be for a one-year period after an offer is provided and accepted. Work will be billed to us on an hourly basis at the end of each month, at $35/hour. As fundraising and increase in duties allow, we may consider raising the contractual amount over time.
