 Hilary Franklin

Hilary Franklin is currently working as a project associate/technical writer at the American Institutes for Research. She holds a B.A. in Public Policy with a specialization in education and an M.A. in Teaching American Sign Language as a Foreign Language. She was born profoundly deaf and diagnosed as such at approximately 9 months of age. She began cueing English at age 3 and signing at age 11. She is a certified instructor of Cued Speech, sits on the board of directors of both the National Cued Speech Association and the Maryland Cued Speech Association, and advocates for bilingualism via cued English and American Sign Language.
